Import a Client and Connect
Start in the dashboard to confirm your plan, import your subscription, and verify the connection. Already have an account or subscription? Use the steps below to jump to the section you need.
Client interfaces vary by platform and version. This guide follows the shared flow: get your subscription → import the configuration → choose a route → verify the connection. If button labels differ from the examples here, follow the dashboard download page and the prompts in your client.
Create an Account and Open the Dashboard
Select “Start Free” to open the VPNMini dashboard account creation page. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can remember and a unique password before you begin. Don’t reuse a password from another site. Review your details, follow the prompts to create your account, and then open the dashboard. If you already have an account, just sign in—there’s no need to create another one.
After creating your account, save your username and password somewhere secure before choosing a plan. You’ll need these credentials to check orders, get your subscription, and submit support tickets. Route names in the client cannot replace your account details. If your browser asks to save your password, consider whether you’re using a personal device. On a shared device, sign out when you’re done and don’t leave your account or subscription details accessible.
Once you’re in the dashboard, take a look at the overview and familiarize yourself with the plans, client downloads, and support ticket options. Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps: signing in doesn’t mean you have data available. To import a subscription and connect to a route, choose a plan. If you’re just getting a client ready, sign in to download on Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux; iOS downloads require an active plan.
Choose a Plan and Review Your Order
Open Plans in the dashboard and choose a billing option based on how often you’ll use the service. If you regularly use international websites, AI tools, or streaming services, compare the monthly subscription data tiers. If your usage varies or you want to save data for later, consider a data package. Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date; data packages last until used and never expire. The difference is how data is replenished: a data package does not automatically renew each month.
Monthly subscriptions: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. Compare options against your actual usage rather than choosing a higher tier based only on the number of devices. This service supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but they still share the plan’s remaining data. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the dashboard for the final details.
On the order confirmation page, check the plan name, data allowance, price, and billing method. Then follow the dashboard’s instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the dashboard to check the order status and plan details in your account overview. If the payment page shows success but the dashboard hasn’t updated, check the original order and refresh its status before trying again. Don’t pay twice or create another order.
VPNMini offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Keep your payment records and order details in case you need to look them up or explain an issue in a support ticket. Compare prices on the Plans page; see the FAQ for common billing and refund questions. Once your plan is active, continue to get your subscription.
Get Your Subscription and Keep the Link Safe
Open the account overview in the dashboard. Check your current plan and remaining data, then find the subscription import or copy option. The subscription link lets your client load route configurations; it isn’t a regular web address or your account password. Use the import method provided for your client whenever possible. If the page offers multiple configuration formats, follow the download instructions to choose the right one—don’t mix formats at random.
To import by copying, copy the entire link, then paste it into the client’s subscription or configuration manager. Links may contain long paths and parameters, so don’t edit, shorten, or add spaces to them. If the client can’t recognize the link, clear the input field and copy it from the dashboard again. Don’t use text extracted from a screenshot, and never paste the link into a public online conversion tool.
If the dashboard offers direct import, clicking it may prompt your browser to open a client. Check that it’s the client you installed before allowing the redirect. After import, return to the client and confirm the route list is there. A browser prompt alone doesn’t mean the configuration was imported successfully. If the app doesn’t open, first check that the client is installed and launches correctly, then try another import method offered on the page.
Treat your subscription link like your account credentials. Don’t post the full link, its import QR code, or screenshots containing it in public forums, and don’t give it to unknown tools. When reporting an issue in a support ticket, include your operating system, the steps you took, and the exact error message. Redact account and subscription details from screenshots. Once you have your subscription, continue to the section for your platform.
Import the Client on Each Platform
Download clients from the dashboard; this page does not provide installers or direct subscription links. We recommend using the VPNMini client provided there and choosing the version for your operating system as directed on the download page. Sign in to get your subscription. iOS downloads also require an active plan; other platforms only require you to sign in. Downloading the client isn’t the last step: after installation, confirm that the subscription is imported and the route list is visible.
Desktop and mobile clients follow the same steps: open the client, go to subscription or configuration management, use the dashboard’s import option or add the subscription link, update the configuration, then choose a route. Depending on the version, the option may be called “Configuration,” “Subscription Management,” or “Import.” Use the page instructions to find it; the label doesn’t have to match this guide exactly.
Windows: Add a Subscription After Installation
Choose the VPNMini Windows client on the dashboard download page, then download, install, and launch it. If Windows displays a permission prompt, first confirm that the file came from the current dashboard download page, then follow the installation instructions. In the client, look for the import option under subscriptions or configuration management. If the dashboard supports direct import, return to it to open the client; otherwise, add the subscription using the link you copied.
After adding the subscription, update the configuration and check that the route list appears. You can give the subscription an easy-to-recognize local name, but don’t change the link itself. If the client has a system proxy toggle, configure it as described on the download page for your first use. If you need to enable a virtual network interface, follow the system prompts to grant permission. Avoid running other proxy tools at the same time so you can tell which app is handling your traffic.
macOS: Check Configuration and Network Permissions
Choose the VPNMini macOS client on the dashboard download page, follow the installation instructions, and open it. If macOS displays a security warning, first confirm the app came from the dashboard download page, then follow the instructions for the specific warning. Don’t disable system security features just to continue installation. In the client’s subscription or configuration section, add the subscription from the dashboard or use its direct import option if available.
After importing, confirm the subscription updated successfully and check whether the client needs network-related permissions. If macOS asks you to approve proxy settings or a network extension, make sure the app named in the prompt is the client you’re using. Once permission is granted, return to the client and choose a route. If access stops working after switching networks, check the client’s connection status and make sure your proxy settings still point to the running app.
Android: Approve the VPN Connection
Download the VPNMini Android client from the dashboard and follow the system prompts to install it. If Android asks whether to let your browser install apps, first confirm the download source. After installation, you can revoke that permission if you no longer need it, according to your device management preferences. Open the client, go to subscription or configuration management, import the subscription from the dashboard, and wait for the route list to load.
When you choose a route and connect for the first time, Android may ask to set up a VPN connection. Check the app name and confirm, then return to the client to check the connection status. If the connection drops when the app goes into the background, check the system’s background activity and battery settings for the app and adjust them if needed. Don’t disable all system restrictions at once; first check whether the client stays connected and the service you need is accessible.
iOS: Get the Download Link from the Dashboard
Sign in to the dashboard and confirm your plan is active, then open the iOS download section and follow the instructions to get the VPNMini client. iOS has a different download requirement: being signed in isn’t enough; you need an active plan. If the dashboard says your plan isn’t active, check its status in the account overview. Don’t look for downloads from unknown sources in search results.
After installation, open the client and import the configuration from the dashboard under subscriptions or configuration. If direct import is supported, allow the browser to open the app and confirm the import. On the first connection, you may be asked to add a VPN configuration. Complete the device authorization as prompted, then return to the app and connect. A configuration listed in system settings doesn’t mean the connection is active; check the client status and test the service you want to access.
Linux and Multiple Devices
Linux users can also get the VPNMini client from the dashboard download page, then follow the instructions for their system to install it and import the subscription. This service supports unlimited devices. Sign in to the same account on other devices to get the subscription and set up each one separately. Don’t simply copy a local configuration file from another device; it may contain paths or options specific to that system. Verify the connection on each device individually.
Connect to a Route and Verify It Works
Once the subscription has updated, choose a region and route type from the client’s route list, then connect. For your first use, keep the client’s recommended routing settings and avoid changing several options at once. VPNMini covers 100+ countries and offers 210+ routes; availability depends on what appears in the dashboard and client. For tips on choosing a route, see the global server locations page. There’s no need to try every route when connecting for the first time.
To verify the connection, first check that the client shows as connected. Then open the website or app you originally wanted to use. Once it loads, check that you can sign in, load content, or complete the task you had in mind. A browser tab may still show cached content from before you connected, so reload it if needed; an app may need to be closed and reopened. The client’s status icon alone—or one page loading by chance—isn’t enough to confirm everything is working.
If the client is connected but the service you want to use is still unavailable, first check that your regular internet connection is working. Then confirm the subscription updated successfully, your plan is active, and you have data remaining. Next, try a different route and check the specific message shown by the service. Account permissions, regional policies, browser state, and service outages can also affect access; not every error is a route problem.
When switching routes, leave other settings unchanged so you can compare the results. For AI tools and other services that require you to stay signed in, keep the same exit region once you’ve confirmed it works. There’s no need to keep switching regions. If one app works but another doesn’t, check your routing or proxy scope before deleting the entire subscription.
Once you’ve verified the connection, note the platform, client name, and routes you use most often so you can restore your setup later. Disconnect in the client when you’re done. If regular websites stop loading afterward, check whether your proxy settings still point to a closed client. For more troubleshooting, see the FAQ. If you need help, submit a support ticket in the dashboard with the steps that caused the issue and the exact error message. Redact sensitive information.
